Chicago rheumatologist Dr. Robert Katz has been named to the U.S. News & World Report Top Doctors list. He is among only 96 rheumatologists in the country—and only a handful in Chicago—named to the highly selective directory.
Dr. Katz was further recognized among the top 1 percent in the country in rheumatology. The directory includes more than 27,000 physicians in dozens of medical specialties.
“I’m pleased to be selected,” Dr Katz said, “because this is a peer-review process, and U.S. News & World Report is so respected for this type of quality ranking.”
Dr. Katz is an expert in rheumatology with experience in both research and patient care. He has written more than 250 research articles. He treats patients with all types of musculoskeletal conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other related conditions. He is a professor of medicine at Rush University in Chicago, where he teaches. He is also an associate professor at Northwestern University‘s Feinberg School of Medicine.
U.S. News Top Doctors was developed in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., which publishes several similar listings. Top doctors were nominated and voted on by their peers, then screened by the Castle Connolly physician-led research team.
